Mike Palovik grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma. His elementary education was gained at a Catholic school, and following high school graduation, he attended Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in marketing. In his youth, Mike was active in the Catholic Church.
Mike married Jan in 1997, and the two of them attended Baptist churches until a move to Edmond brought them to a non-denominational church similar to Tanglewood Bible Fellowship. Mike’s spiritual growth continued from his early Catholic beginnings and Baptist teachings over a period of years to his acceptance of Christ as his savior, and his baptism at the Edmond Christian Church.
Following a move to Duncan in 2005, Mike and Jan continued their journey of faith at TBF with the encouragement of Jan’s co-workers, Homer Cox and Rick Buchanan. As Mike’s Biblical knowledge increased, he became comfortable assuming the role of Deacon. In 2018, Mike joined the elder team.
Mike and Jan have four children and five grandchildren. They enjoy travel, golf, reading and volunteering
