“In quietness and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15), is a favorite scripture for Sidney, who joined the elder team in 2019. Sidney grew up in Comanche, Oklahoma and graduated in 1992 from OSU with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics with a minor in computer science. It was in Stillwater where Sidney met his wife, Wendy.
Following jobs in Georgia and Alabama, Sidney started his own company in 2001. While living in Alabama, the Powers were blessed with four children and the opportunity to enjoy the preaching of Dr. Steven J. Lawson. The family returned to Oklahoma when God provided a place for them to live on a ranch near Comanche. Sidney and Wendy enjoy their time on the farm and raising cattle, while continuing to operate their business in Alabama.
